Quick cruising with a speedboat,visiting Sekonyer Village, Canoeing in the black water river Sungai Buluh and visiting Orangutan Observation Site: Tanjung Harapan.Packs of endemic primate in Borneo. Pangkalan Bun – Kumai – Sei Sekonyer Village – Canoeing to Buluh River – Tanjung Harapan Camp

Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun you’ll be met and transferred to Kumai for boarding to the Speedboat. Leaving Kumai River, you’ll have an opportunity to see riverfront life. Borneo has so many rivers so the boat is the main transportation here. May you also see a thousand high buildings like a hotel with tiny holes, such as a semi-wild swift poultry to harvest its nest. Then, cruising to Sekonyer River, the estuarine habitat with unique vegetation called mangrove, before your first stop to Sekonyer Village,the rural village on the border of Tanjung Puting National Park. This village is form by the history of Tanjung Puting since the status as Nature Reserve with less than half of recent wide. Sekonyer Village is an orangutan-friendly village which moved when the National Parks area is getting wider. You may see some locals with their daily live. An old settlement of mixed culture just next to the National Park.You will have a half hour walking to see the village, people daily life and their activities, including how they get fresh water by rain harvesting.

From the village, you will switch into small long boat (canoe) with villager to go to Sungai Buluh, An exotic black water river to represent of swampy peat forest., Things to do: exploring the river, a peat swamp forest, lowland dipterocarp habitat, searching wildlife and enjoying varieties of trees. Accompanied by the villager and Pokdarwis a local tourism awareness group, you will have a time for exploring the black water river with small boat before your jungle lunch. This excursion takes approximately 2 hours.

After lunch, you will visit Tanjung Harapan Camp for Orangutan observation at 15.00 – 16.30.00 o’clock. After watching Orangutan, then continue on cruising downstream to Kumai for sunset hunting.You’ll have time to relax, enjoy fresh air, or do some primate spotting in the roosting tree while the boat finding out a good place to tie up. Watch along the river bands for wildlife such as Proboscis Monkey-the endemic monkey in Borneo, Long-tailed Macaque, Red-leaf Monkey, Silvered Langur, or birdlife along the riverside. Arrived in Kumai you will transfer to your accommodation in Pangkalanbun.

Total Cancellation: Any tour cancellation charged 10% for long noticed, and charged 25% within 3×24 before tour departure.
Partial Cancellation: cancellation of the member/s of the pack charged 20% of the price/pax.
