Day 1 – Pangkalan Bun – Kumai – Tanjung Harapan Camp
Watch along the river bands for wildlife such as Proboscis Monkey-the endemic monkey in Borneo, Long-tailed Macaque, Red-leaf Monkey, Silvered Langur, or birdlife along the riverside. After watching Orangutan,then continue on cruising up for overnight in the Kelotok. You’ll have time to relax, enjoy fresh air, or do some primate spotting in the roosting tree while the boat finding out a good place to tie up.
*An optional activities night walk for nocturnal wildlife will be offered for nocturnal animal watching. You willhave 50 minutes walking before dinner time to see incects, amphobians, reptiles, etc. Meals Provided L D
Day 2 – Sekonyer River – Jerumbun Reforestation – Camp Leakey
After a sunrise breakfast, cruising up the river to Jerumbun Reforestation. This is an restoration site managed by a local conservation group. You will have an experience of walking into disturbance area andlearn some ecological succession. Small birds are interested to watch in the herbaceus vegetation. You are invited to contribute to the rainforest by planting trees. It is really important to do small things to conserve the species of tree also providing food for the animals in the future. Your trip is included 1 tree adoption/traveler, if you would like to donate more trees, it is very welcomed.
Your boat continuing exploring Sekonyer Kanan to Camp Leakey, the legendary Orangutan Rehabilitation Camp, where Prof. Birute MF. Galdikas started her study in early 1971. Boating a side creek through tea-colored water where you will see the magnificent reflection from the vegetation along the river, when luckywith you, the freshwater crocodile and other wildlife attractions could find a long river band. After having lunch and departing to Camp Leakey, we can spend the rest of the day hiking through the Borneo rainforest, exploring peat swamp forest, lowland dipterocarp habitat, searching for wildlife, or enjoying varieties of fungi, orchids, slipper orchids, mosses, and ferns, then enjoying Orangutan observation at 14.00 till 16.00 pm. After observing the Orangutan in Camp Leakey, boat will drive to the downstream. This is the best time to see Proboscis monkey and other wildlife in the riverbanks. Beautiful sunset also appearing in some different spot.

Day 3 – Sekonyer River – Kumai – Pangkalan Bun
After breakfast, continue by Kelotok down river to Kumai. The boat will continue to cruise down the river, andwildlife spotting is not over yet. Enjoying your coffee in the boat while exploring the river in the morning, mayyou meet the Orangutan foraging in the trees around riverbank. It will offer you an incredible experience. Long-snout Crocodiles may sun-busking on the river bank when the weather really good. Departing Kumai, you’ll be transferred to Pangkalan Bun, possible to visit Orangutan souvenir and handicraft gallery before your next destination.

Boat checking out maks at 09.00. During low season Nov to June, we can extend the service till lunch time due to the boat availability.
After breakfast, Boat will cruise into Sekonyer River. If you interested to see the village, boat will stop to sei Sekonyer Village, the rural village on the border of Tanjung Puting National Park. This village is form by the history of Tanjung Puting since the status as Nature Reserve with less than half of recent wide. Sekonyer Village is an orangutan-friendly village which moved when the National Parks area is getting wider. You may see some locals with their daily live. An old settlement of mixed culture just next to the National Park. Youwill have a half hour walking to see the village, people daily life and their activities, including how they get fresh water by rain harvesting.
